Reaction tricks 1

In reaction tricks, children can develop their reaction skills together with their friends through playful competitions. It is good to have as many equal pairs as possible, so that both have a chance to succeed. Proceed with reaction tricks at your own pace and give the children time to work on the reaction trick.

Move with the ball

  • The children line up in two lines, it is a good idea to mark the positions of the lines with a cone, for example. An adult stands in front of the lines with two different colored balls. The lines are named according to the color of the ball and they follow the ball in their own line.
  • The adult bounces the balls on the floor, causing the children to squat.
  • The adult throws the balls into the air, causing the children to jump.
  • The adult changes the position of the balls, causing the lines to change positions.
  • You can come up with more ways to move with the balls.

Body parts and catching a bean bag

  • Stand facing each other in pairs and place a bean bag between.
  • The adult names the body parts and the children show where they have the body part in question.
  • When the adult says "bag", the pair competes to see who can catch the bean bag from the floor first.

Catch the right color

  • Stand facing each other and place two different colored bean bags between, e.g. blue and red. Make sure that all pairs have the same colors.
  • The adult says different colors, including those that are not included in the game.
  • When the adult says the color of the bean bag between the pair, the pair competes to see who can catch the right colored bean bag from the floor first.
