Reaction tricks 3
In reaction tricks, children can develop their reaction ability and force control, as well as challenge themselves. Give the children time to work on the reaction trick, make it easier or more challenging if necessary.
Catch the bat
- Form a circle, and each child holds a floorball bat upright in front of them, with the blade pointing toward the ceiling.
- Decide together in which direction the circle will move. Repeat in the opposite direction.
- At the adult’s signal, move to catch the neighbor’s bat before it falls over.
Catching the ball after bouncing
- Stand in a circle and everyone has a very bouncy ball, e.g. a basketball or similar.
- Together agree in which direction the circle will move. You can also do it in the other direction.
- At the signal of an adult, bounce your own ball to the floor and move on to catching the ball of the person next to us after bouncing.
How far can you catch your own throw
- Agree together where to throw and in which direction.
- Everyone has their own ball.
- Try how far each person can catch their own ball after their own throw.
Throw and jump over
- Everyone has their own ball and space.
- Throw the ball high in the air and catch it.
- Place the ball in front of you on the floor and jump over the ball and back with a flat jump.
